Project Summary
Oceana is conducting feasibility studies in Ghana and Senegal to help determine if it should open
an office in West Africa. This study will provide an analysis of whether Ghana provides a
political, socioeconomic, and policy context that will allow Oceana to succeed in its mission. The study will cover the following areas: fisheries contributions to food security and
livelihoods; policy background on fisheries, aquaculture, and marine conservation; ocean
climate risks and policy and office setup and operations.
