Francis Kwesi Botse Micah is a seasoned maritime professional with a wealth of experience in various capacities within the maritime industry. His professional journey began with Pre-Sea Deck Cadet Studies at the Regional Maritime University in 1984-1985. Over the years, he continued to enhance his skills, completing many courses and rising to level of Master Mariner.
He is an active member of professional organizations, holding affiliations with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (MILT) and the Nautical Institute (AFNI) in the U.K. Additionally, he is a member of the Ghana Institute of Marine Surveyors (MGIMS). With a robust work history, Capt. Micah’s roles include serving as the Chief Executive Officer at PSC Tema Shipyard Ltd from July 2016 to 2020 and the Harbour Master at GPHA – Port of Tema from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, he held various positions, including Safety & Security Superintendent at Pacific International Lines in Singapore and Master (Ship Captain) from 2006 to 2011.
His skills and competencies include training, coordinating and supervising marine operations, shipboard inspections, managing shipyards and dry-docking facilities, and overseeing port marine operations, safety and security. Outside of his professional pursuits, Capt. Micah enjoys reading, travelling, and sightseeing.
